Improving disturbance rejection by using a model-based approach

چکیده

The classical PID controllers are known to offer very good trade-off between robustness and performance. In practical applications the derivative (D) term of the controller is often not used due to the relatively demanding tuning. On the other hand, in certain applications, the control performance of the PI controller is not sufficient. Recently, it has been shown that disturbance rejection properties can be significantly improved by using a model-based approach. In this article, some improvements of the modelbased approach are presented.
